Musicfest Northwest, on the heels of last year’s Masterclass, is excited to expand our new FREE Educational Outreach Program for our exciting 2020 educational season, in two parts.

PART 1

An exciting FREE educational program involving the great Spokane community of teachers and pedagogues. Specially designed to help students learn how to perform with ease and audition with confidence.

Featuring the music worlds of violinists and pianists.

String Topics covered:

Stage presence and deportment;
Working with nerves (including the dreaded shaky bow);
ways of releasing tension;
tips for preparing mentally;
practicing for your upcoming performance

Piano Clinic: 10:00am -1:00pm
Violin Clinic: 2:00pm - 5:00pm

 (violin students should bring their instruments)

PART 2

Spokane people are very fortunate to have these two extraordinary Artists on their doorstep. Musicfest Northwest, in association with Holy Names Music Center offer again the Professional duo of Dr. Archie Chen, International pianist and Mateusz Wolski, Concertmaster of the Spokane Symphony. They are looking forward to working closely with some of the Musicfest participants!

This year's festival takes place May 10th - 15th, 2020

Young Artist Concert: Wednesday May 13th, 2020 at 7:30pm

Festival Highlights Concert: Friday May 15th, 2020 at 7:30pm

Both concerts take place at the Martin Woldson theatre at the FOX and are FREE and open to the public! Come and support the next generation of artists!

Location Information

All division adjudications take place on the beautiful campus of Gonzaga University.

Organ division takes place at St. John's Cathedral - 127 E. 12th Avenue
