During the festival, Adjudicators will be inviting some outstanding students to perform live on public radio,
KPBX 91.1 FM.
Musicfest will do its best to include all students who are interested in performing on the radio, but it cannot guarantee that all students will be scheduled.
There will be about 20 performers on each day from 10:00am to 12:00 noon, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
The day of the performance, local friends as well as those from out of town, can hear it streamed live at www.kpbx.org. In addition to the live broadcast, KPBX makes performances available via podcasts.
Verne Windham is the on-air host and, as time permits he will interview some of the performers before they begin.
This is a great opportunity for those invited and for the listening public to hear just a sampling of what is going on during Musicfest Northwest.
Musicfest is very grateful for the collaboration of Spokane’s Public Radio and for the hours given by the KPBX staff and volunteers to help make Musicfest Northwest special.
Besides the live shows, KPBX also records the evening concerts for future broadcast. Verne Windham and Jim Tevenan both generously donate their time to be the master of ceremonies for those concerts as well.
