Jim-Isaac Chua, MusicFest alumnus and upcoming performance

September 1, 2023

MusicFest has had the pleasure and honor of cultivating countless amazing alumni who go on to support inspiring careers both in, and outside of the arts. Alumnus Jim-Isaac Chua is one MusicFest alum who has built an illustrious career as a concert pianist! Chua was a MusicFest participant between the years 2008 – 2011, in which he received the adjudicator choice award during all four years, as well as the highly selective Margie May Ott Scholarship Award. In a recent testimony, Chua remarks, “MusicFest Northwest is a wonderful organization that helped me to meet many people who I would later work with in the music world.” Chua remembers MusicFest as being one of the biggest highlights in his musical life that propelled him into further studies in music at the extremely selective Eastman School of Music.

Jim-Isaac Chua now lives in Poland as an accomplished and successful concert pianist. This fall, he will be performing extensively in the U.S., Poland, and the Phillippine Islands. Chua will be performing one of his concerts in Spokane, WA, on September 22nd at 7:00 PM in the Bing Crosby Theater located in the heart of downtown, just down the street from the Fox Theater. In collaboration with the Arc of Spokane, Chua will be conducting this concert in attempts to raise awareness for the IDD community. The concert will feature works by Rameau, Chopin, Beethoven, Liszt, and more! The concert will be supplemented by brief talks about the works. Please do not miss this opportunity to hear our fantastic MusicFest alumnus in concert, as well as to support your local IDD community.
