The 2023 festival week boasted an impressive 850+ registrations, participants ranging from local to as far as Bloomington, IN. To match the enthusiasm and publicity marking this year’s festival return, MusicFest pulled top artists, clinicians and educators from all over the United States to offer unparalleled adjudication, service and professionalism. Offering instruction and performance opportunities in classes ranging from J.S. Bach piano to contemporary dance, including a multitude of styles and genres, MusicFest supplied another year of diversity and artistry involving musicians and dancers of all ages. A select and distinguished few of these artists were invited to perform for family and peers in the Festival Highlights Concert, in the beautiful Myrtle Woldson Performing Arts Center on the Campus of Gonzaga University. Additionally, a spectacular seven were selected as the elite 2023 Young Artists, receiving recognition in multiple trials and displays of musicality and artistry, earning them a cash prize of 0.00 and an amazing opportunity to perform as soloists with the renowned Spokane Symphony Orchestra, in the Fox Theater of downtown Spokane.
